Charcoal-Activated Black Sesame Tart with Dragonfruit Swirl

Step-by-Step Recipe

  1. Prepare the Tart Shell:

    • In a large bowl, combine flour, charcoal powder, and a pinch of salt. Add the vegan butter and mix until crumbly.
    • Gradually add cold water, one tablespoon at a time, until the dough comes together.
    • Roll out the dough on a floured surface, press it into a tart pan, and prick the base with a fork. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Bake the Shell:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the shell for 12–15 minutes until firm. Let it cool completely.
  3. Make the Black Sesame Filling:
